GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (AP) — A 32-year-old Gardnerville man already serving six months in jail for punching a man in the face is now looking at a much longer time behind prison bars after assaulting a fellow inmate.
Nicholas Langston was jailed in April on a battery charge.
The (Gardnerville) Record-Courier reports (http://tinyurl.com/nv4oj84) District Judge Tom Gregory sentenced Langston on Monday to 18 to 60 months in prison after he recently admitted punching an inmate and kicking him after he'd fallen at the Douglas County Jail.
The judge ordered the rest of Langston's jail sentence to run concurrent to his prison time, but said he won't give him credit for time served.
