SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Travelers headed to and from London will be able to get across the pond a little more quickly next year with a new non-stop flight.
Delta Airlines announced Tuesday that it will offer the route starting in May 2016. Salt Lake City will be the airline's eighth destination from London's Heathrow Airport.
The route is part of a joint venture with Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Delta also offers a nonstop flight to Paris and a seasonal nonstop to Amsterdam from Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake City is a hub for Delta, which carries about 70 percent of the air traffic in the state's capital.
