WORLD OF SPORTS — From premature celebration to crazy football scores, we have it all in today's From Left Field.

1. American distance runner celebrates too early, loses bronze medal

Oh no. After running 10,000 meters, American Molly Huddle lost the race by .09 of a second after she eased up in the last few strides, being passed by Emily Infeld. Infeld, who was running her third 10,000 meter race ever, slipped by Huddle on the inside without Huddle realizing what was happening until it was too late.

2\. Goalie gets red card after stopping pitch invader ====================================================

Sure, you've seen crazy people possibly under some influence, run out onto the field of play. Eventually, security chases them down and takes them off to a back room somewhere.

But if you're a soccer player, acting as security apparently has grave consequences.

Goalkeeper Mohamed Sokhra of Maghreb AS de Fes dragged the pitch invader out by his collar and brought him off the field. Well done! No injury, just taking him off the field like a mother dog and her puppy.

Well, the referee apparently has no shame; he gave Sokhra a red card for his heroism. Bad move, ref.

3. Punt returner runs around, fumbles ball, ball fumbled back to him, he scores touchdown.

So, you know, just your typical high school football punt return. In Hawaii, Kahuku High School was playing Kaiser when returner Stokes Botelho made a good play, then a bad play, then a good one again in order to score.

But really, just the number of bounces required for this play to happen is pretty crazy.

4. I see London, I see France …

Forward Michy Batshuayi, 21, playing for Marseille in France's Ligue 1, showed off some impressive underwear during his team's 6-0 win this weekend.

Sure, there's a more famous soccer player turned underwear model out there, but we at From Left Field prefer Batshuayi's style. ![](http://beacon.deseretconnect.com/beacon.gif?cid=312717&pid=4)
