LAS VEGAS (AP) — President Barack Obama is in Las Vegas to speak at the National Clean Energy Summit hosted by U.S. Sen. Harry Reid and attend a private Democratic fundraiser. The president is expected to announce executive actions and other efforts at the summit aimed at making it easier to invest in green energy improvements.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — After several months of delays, the first store to sell medical marijuana legally in the Las Vegas area is open for business. Euphoria Wellness opened this morning to sell a limited amount of marijuana to invited customers. The store opens to any medical marijuana cardholder starting Wednesday.

ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. (AP) — Officials from Nevada and California say they're working together to ease the traffic congestion that takes its toll on the Lake Tahoe area. Nevada Republican Sen. Dean Heller hosted California Gov. Jerry Brown and other congressional representatives from the two states at the 19th Annual Lake Tahoe Summit today.

SPANISH SPRINGS, Nev. (AP) — A Spanish Springs family has been forced out of their home after a house fire, but authorities say no one was hurt thanks in part to a family pet. Officials for the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District tell KRNV-TV that one of the family's dogs alerted them to the fire that started on the deck of the home last night.
