TOOELE, Utah (AP) — Police say an 8-year-old Tooele boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bike.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1NDnOmC ) that Tooele City Police Sgt. Jeremy Hansen says the boy rode out of his driveway and was near the middle of the street around 6 p.m. Saturday when he was hit by a car.
Hansen says police don't believe the driver was speeding. They are still investigating.
He says there has been increased traffic on the street for three or four month because of construction on the city's Main Street.
Police say the boy was flown to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City.
