NORWALK, Conn. (AP) — A former Norwalk teacher has been charged with voyeurism and risk of injury to a minor after he was accused of taking inappropriate photographs and videos of female students.
The Hour reports (http://bit.ly/1U01clt ) former Brien McMahon High School world languages teacher David Marchetti was charged by Norwalk Police on Thursday. Court records show students told school administrators and police in May that the 30-year-old Marchetti, of Cos Cob, was taking cellphone photos and videos at an "upward angle" from the bottom of shorts and skirts.
He was placed on administrative leave in early May and resigned in late June.
Marchetti's lawyer said it would be premature to jump to conclusions about his client's case.
He posted bond and is due back at Stamford Superior Court on Aug. 28.
