MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Officials say a Manchester, New Hampshire, college is closing next year due to declining enrollment.
New Hampshire Public Radio reports (http://bit.ly/1MS2BVR ) Mount Washington College will close next April.
The college said in a statement it will stop enrolling new students immediately and focus on the school's roughly 500 current students. Students can complete their programs of study online through Kaplan University for free.
Kaplan owns Mount Washington.
The college has closed campuses in Nashua, Salem, Portsmouth and Concord in the past few years.
About 40 employees will be affected.
The college, formerly known as Hesser College, was founded in 1900. It changed its name to Mount Washington in 2013.
The school has scheduled information sessions for Aug. 11 and Aug. 12.
