SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Center Jarron Collins has agreed to terms to re-sign with the Utah Jazz.

Collins was an unrestricted free agent when the two-year deal he signed in 2004 expired July 1. He spent his first five seasons with the Jazz, who picked him in the second round of the 2001 draft.

"We are pleased that Jarron has chosen to return to the Jazz," said Kevin O'Connor, vice president for basketball operations. "He is a true competitor."

Terms of the deal were not disclosed Thursday.

Collins started 41 of the 79 games he played last season and averaged 5.3 points and 4.2 rebounds.

The Jazz announced the deal the day after re-signing forward Matt Harpring and completing a trade for guard Derek Fisher.
