BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The University at Buffalo has released the lineup for its annual Distinguished Speakers Series.

Actor Kevin Spacey, singer John Legend and transgender advocate Laverne Cox from the series "Orange is the New Black," are among those scheduled to speak throughout the academic year.

Rounding out the list are cancer doctor Siddhartha Mukherjee, legal theorist Charles Ogletree and author Liz Murray, who wrote "Breaking Night: a Memoir of Forgiveness, Survival and My Journey from Homeless to Harvard."

Spacey, who stars in "House of Cards," is this year's undergraduate and graduate student choice speaker.

Cox speaks first, on Sept. 16. The talks are open to the public.
