John Force leads Funny Car qualifying at Mile-High Nationals

MORRISON, Colo. (AP) — John Force topped Funny Car qualifying with a Bandimere Speedway-record time of 4.015 seconds at 318.09 mph Friday night in the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals.

The 66-year-old Force has two event victories this year to push his record total to 143.

Larry Dixon led in Top Fuel, Allen Johnson in Pro Stock, and Eddie Krawiec in Pro Stock Motorcycle, all with track time records. Dixon had a 3.791 at 326.63, Johnson finished at 6.877 at 200.74 in a Dodge Dart, and Krawiec ran a 7.169 at 186.10 on a Harley-Davidson.
