SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz wrap up their summer league Thursday night against Philadelphia.

So far, Jazz rookie Rodney Hood has been the man of the week.

Hood is averaging 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the first two games of the Utah Jazz Summer League at EnergySolutions Arena.

He's smooth. He's confident. He's dominating — and he validated his inclusion in the young squad by scoring the Jazz's final five points to knock off the Spurs, 72-70 on Tuesday, which you can see in the video above.

"I was in a similar position at the end of the year, and I'm just getting more confidence," Hood said. "I settled for the jump shot where I could've taken it to the rack. I'll get better with time."

As Hood rides the momentum from his rookie year, he is now looking to improve the physical part of his game for his sophomore season.

"My growth is just finishing at the basket, finishing through contact, finishing with my right hand," he added. "I've got to continue to work on that and get stronger, stay low at all times. Those are the main things I'm working on right now."
