Vodka has found its feminine side with the creation of Pinky Vodka by Los Angeles-based beverage company Liquidity Brands.
Pinky was created by a group of Scandinavian tasters who wondered, "What does pink taste like?"
They blended 12 botanicals including violets and rose petals, added a touch of wild strawberries and mango, a splash of lemon and lime, and a sliver of green pepper for bite. In the end, the tasters wound up with a flirty flavored vodka that is flowery, sweet and pink.
The vodka was launched in September and has found a following among bartenders in high-end restaurants and at bars where signature cocktails are created.
