LAS VEGAS (AP) — A nationwide outage with United Airlines' computer system Wednesday morning has caused delays at both McCarran International and Reno-Tahoe International airports.

McCarran said United flights will run 30 to 45 minutes late for the rest of the day after the outage hit between 6 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

The Las Vegas airport hosts about 33 United departures per day, which makes up 7 percent of the air service at one of the busiest airports in the country.

Reno-Tahoe hosts 18 United flights and only minor delays, if any, are expected.

This is the second time in two months that the carrier has been hit by major technical issues.

The Chicago company halted all takeoffs in the U.S. on June 2 due to what the airline described as computer automation issues.
