BYU sophomore center Tejan Koroma was on Wednesday named as one of 63 preseason nominees for the Rimington Trophy, presented to the premier center in college football.
Koroma is one of only two true sophomores on the list, which was expanded from its spring watch-list total of 52 nominees. Koroma was not included on the spring roster, but was added to the comprehensive fall list.
Last season, Koroma was the only true freshman to start all 13 games at center; he was named to the FWAA Freshman All-America, ESPN True Freshman All-America, 247Sports True Freshman All-America, Sporting News All-True Freshman and Phil Steele Freshman All-America teams after the 2014 campaign.
