IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Law enforcement officials have recovered the body of an Idaho Falls man who drowned at Ririe Reservoir.

The Post Register reports (http://bit.ly/1LHcgPl ) that the body of 23-year-old James Southard was found Tuesday just before noon. He was reported missing Monday after reportedly trying to swim to a dock.

Bonneville Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Jeff Edwards says a friend of Southard saw him struggling in the water, but was unable to call 911 until about 25 minutes later due to poor cellphone service.

Edwards says neither man was wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident.
