ELKO, Nev. (AP) — Crews are battling a wildfire in northern Nevada that was caused by lightning.

The Nevada Division of Forestry said Tuesday that a fire is burning sage and grass in a seven-square-mile area on private land north of Interstate 80, about half way between Battle Mountain and Elko.

There are no immediate threats to buildings or people.

As of midday Tuesday, it was about 25 percent contained with 200 crew members at the scene.

A spokeswoman said it is expected to be contained by Wednesday.
