HIGHLAND — Frank Jackson has been climbing the national recruiting ranks. Jackson improved from 30th to 20th, according to ESPN’s 2016 Top 100. Jackson is also ranked 11th, according to scout.com’s 2016 rankings.

DraftExpress.com praised Jackson for how his recruting stock has been rising: “Jackson is a terrific scorer who is still developing as a lead guard … Jackson can put himself over the top if he can make strides as a floor general.” DraftExpress also pointed out that Jackson, despite being a top-20 recruit, has a lot of work to do to improve both his ball handling and playmaking abilities.

Jackson, a senior at Lone Peak High School, just recently finished playing with the U.S. Select Team at the Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso, Italy. Jackson started two of the team’s three games while also playing the most minutes, 73, of any player. Jackson, the youngest player on the team, didn’t shoot the ball as well as he’s accustomed to, shooting 33 percent while only going 1-11 from 3-point range.

Jackson has yet to make a decision for which university he’ll be playing for after graduation and a two-year LDS mission. He’s received interest from BYU, Utah, Arizona, Arizona State, Duke, Maryland, Stanford and UCLA. Jackson is expected to make his decision before the upcoming prep basketball season.
