SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — State authorities have raided 11 Wasatch Front massage parlors they say are fronts for sex trafficking in Utah.
The Utah Attorney General's SECURE Strike Force executed the search warrants on Tuesday after a 10-month investigation.
They searched 11 businesses, three homes and four cars and Salt Lake, Davis and Weber counties, beginning around 8:30 that morning and continuing throughout the day, says AG spokeswoman Missy Larsen.
She says the AG's office believes there is a network involve, although it wasn't immediately clear whether the businesses were connected or operating independently.
She says more than a dozen women and one man were being questioned. No charges have been filed.
The investigation began as a result of information from an Ogden Police Department officer on the SECURE Strike Force.
