TAYLORSVILLE — Friday was a good day for Spanish Fork.
The Dons started off the day by collecting the Class 4A softball title with a 4-1 win over region rival Maple Mountain at Valley Complex in the morning and finished the evening with a 5-4 win over the Golden Eagles in the Class 4A baseball title game at UVU in Orem.
Cheyenne Pratt hit a three-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to help Spanish Fork rally for the softball title in dramatic fashion.
Pitcher Cambrie Hazel fanned seven and held the Golden Eagles to one run on three hits to collect the win.
The softball team then made it to Orem in time to celebrate with the Dons' baseball team. Taylor Harrison went 2-for-3, and Spanish Fork scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to rally by Maple Mountain, 5-4, in the title game.
Class 5A softball
LEHI 7, HERRIMAN 2 — At Taylorsville, Sydney White held Herriman to two runs on five hits to help the Pioneers win back-to-back Class 5A softball championships with a pair of 7-2 victories Friday at Valley Complex.
Lehi broke the game open with a four-run third inning, paced by Brogan Kirby's leadoff homer in the second game to clinch the title.
The Pioneers also beat the Mustangs, 7-2, in the early game to set up the winner-take-all second game championship. White ripped a home run and two RBI, and also tossed a complete-game four-hitter for Lehi.

Class 5A baseball
PLEASANT GROVE 6, BINGHAM 2 — At Orem, the Vikings won the second of what became a two-game championship series to knock off the Miners and win their first state baseball championship since 1998.
Pleasant Grove scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning to take control, highlighted by Payton Henry's two-run double to give the Vikings all the scoring it would need and take a 3-2 lead at UVU's Brent Brown Ballpark.
In the opening game, Kade Cloward went 3-for-5 with two RBIs to help Bingham win their sixth straight elimination game, 8-7, and force a second championship game. The Miners jumped out to an 8-1 run before holding off a late rally from Pleasant Grove, including a five-run fifth inning.
