SALT LAKE CITY — Gordon Hayward underwent surgery May 15 in Indianapolis to address inflammation in his right heel, the Jazz announced Friday.

The procedure was successful, and it was performed at the Methodist Sports Medicine Clinic in Indianapolis by Dr. David Porter. The Jazz expect Hayward to resume full basketball activity early this summer.

Hayward missed the last three games of the season with inflammation of the Achilles.

Hayward published two blogs this week on his website, neither of which mentioned the surgery. Hayward's wife, Robyn, is due to give birth to a baby girl in mid-June.
