HURRICANE, Utah (AP) — Police say they've arrested the driver involved in an apparent hit-and-run on a residential street in Hurricane who knew the pedestrian who died.
Hurricane Police Sgt. Brandon Buell said authorities arrested 25-year-old Randahl Keith Hill on Tuesday in connection with the fatal crash earlier on 300 North 35 West.
Police say Hill admitted to speeding off as the man fell off the hood of Hill's 1994 Mustang. Detectives are investigating how the man ended up on Hill's hood.
Hill is being held at the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility and was unable to be reached for comment.
Police did not provide any information about the man who died.
Hill faces charges of third-degree felony automobile homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident as well as reckless driving and DUI misdemeanors.
