This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

The population of the United States is aging. By 2030 it's projected that more than one in three Americans will be over 50. This group represents an important demographic with a net worth of nearly $46 trillion, according to US News. They like style and they like comfort, something Jared Swain and Derek White are offering with the facility they co-owns, The Cascades at Riverwalk in Midvale.

The Cascades at Riverwalk is a new resort-style skilled nursing and transitional rehabilitation center. Jared says the goal here is to do things differently. So, they have theater room where residents can watch movies on a big screen TV, restaurant-style food and pampering, like manicures and pedicures for patients. The team also designed everything to resemble a grand hotel, from art on the walls to beautiful water features.

Their 3,200 square foot state-of-the-art therapy gym is one of the largest in the state, and is manned by an experienced team of therapists. It's designed to be another way to help patients through the recovery process. The Cascades At Riverwalk went out of their way to make sure the therapy gym, dining area and patient rooms all exceeded anything else available as far as size, comfort and what is offered.

Derek says the area where The Cascades is located, the Riverwalk development in Midvale, is brand new. International companies have set up shop down the street, there's a Trax stop nearby, and it's close to the freeway. For these and many other reasons, he feels Midvale was exactly the right place for the facility.

It's always preferred for patients to have the opportunity to recover at home. However, when that isn't possible, this is where The Cascades at Riverwalk can help. It's more affordable and is a beautiful facility designed to allow those who still need care to recover in a spa-like environment with experienced therapists on board.
