LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a motorcyclist in a crash with a bus near McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
The Clark County coroner's office identified the victim on Monday as 25-year-old Brandon Phillips of Las Vegas.
The patrol says he apparently failed to maintain his travel lane and ran his Harley-Davidson into the side of a large bus near the airport connector road north of Interstate 215 about 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
Phillips died at the scene. No one else was injured.
Traffic was slowed in the area for several hours while troopers conducted an investigation.
