LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees has agreed to keep most tuition and fees at current levels and to increase student admissions standards.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1KcZSWy ) that the board voted Friday to continue charging undergraduates $197.25 and graduate students $234.04 per credit hour. The board did vote to raise from $240 to $270 per credit hour the rates for graduate programs offered fully online.
The new standards for unconditional admission call for a students to have at least a 2.75 high school grade-point-average and either a 21 ACT composite score or a 1450 SAT combined score in critical reading, math and writing. The current standard is a 2.75 GPA and either a 20 ACT score or a 1390 SAT.
