PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The commencement season is continuing at colleges and universities in Maine.
Ceremonies were being held Saturday at University of Maine campuses at Farmington, Machias and Presque Isle. Also holding commencements were the University of Maine Law School and the University of New England.
Former U.S. Rep. Tom Allen was addressing the law graduates. Also being recognized was Attorney General Janet Mills, recipient of an award recognizing the alumnus' leadership contributions.
The commencement address in Farmington was being delivered by Joan Benoit Samuelson, the two-time Boston Marathon winner and Olympic gold medalist.
