DOVER, Del. (AP) — A Smyrna High School student has died after being shot outside a Dover apartment complex.

Multiple media outlets report 19-year-old Gary Adams of Smyrna was killed by a single gunshot wound Wednesday night.

A resident found Adams lying on the ground and tried to administer CPR, told The News Journal of Wilmington (http://delonline.us/1d2FOZu ) the victim had a pulse when police arrived. He died shortly after being taken to a hospital.

Police did not say where Adams was shot.

Smyrna High School administrators say the school has crisis counselors available to students.
