DOVER, Del. (AP) — A Smyrna High School student has died after being shot outside a Dover apartment complex.
Multiple media outlets report 19-year-old Gary Adams of Smyrna was killed by a single gunshot wound Wednesday night.
A resident found Adams lying on the ground and tried to administer CPR, told The News Journal of Wilmington (http://delonline.us/1d2FOZu ) the victim had a pulse when police arrived. He died shortly after being taken to a hospital.
Police did not say where Adams was shot.
Smyrna High School administrators say the school has crisis counselors available to students.
This is Dover's fourth homicide of 2015, a figure which matches last year's total. Three of those, including Adams' slaying, remain unsolved.
