Liberian ambassador to speak at UL-Lafayette commencement

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Jeremiah C. Sulunteh, Liberian ambassador to the United States, will be keynote speaker at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's spring 2015 commencement Friday in the Cajundome.

The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/1E7cDtw) Sulunteh is described in a university news release as a prominent Liberian politician, administrator and former professor who was appointed Liberia's minister of transport by the country's first democratically elected president in 2006.

He served in the role until 2008 and then served as minister of post and telecommunications from 2008 to 2010 and minister of labor from 2010 to 2012.
