BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho residents will get a chance to testify during the Legislature's upcoming special session on proposed child support rules. The special session was called after the House committee killed a bill that would have brought Idaho into compliance with federal child support enforcement rules, jeopardizing $46 million in federal funding.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A 26-year-old California woman escaped uninjured after her parachute got snagged on a bridge and was left dangling 500 feet above the Snake River. The Twin Falls County sheriff's office says a wind gust caught Carla Segil's parachute and blew it into the support structure of the bridge, where she dangled for about half an hour yesterday.

CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — A 32-year-old southwest Idaho woman who was freed from prison after serving 12 years of a life sentence has been arrested on a drug charge. Sarah Pearce was freed from prison in March 2014 after her sentence was reduced to time served. She is being held in the Canyon County jail on a $10,000 bond.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — The hunt is on for Bonneville County's oldest building. Bonneville County Heritage Association Chairwoman Ann Rydalch tells the Post Register that the association is asking residents to contact them if they are aware of possible contenders. The association says any building constructed before 1915 is a candidate.
