LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police are investigating the motive behind the death of a woman found with multiple gunshot wounds in a northeast valley apartment.
The Las Vegas Sun reports (http://bit.ly/1PdyJpY ) that police found the woman in an apartment near Nellis Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue early Sunday morning.
An investigation by Metro's Homicide Station found that the woman that police described as a black woman in her 30s was watching television with a family member when they heard a knock at the door. The woman answered the door and the suspect immediately fired shots.
The suspect fled the scene in a light-colored four-door sedan with tinted windows that was waiting at the complex.
The unidentified suspect was described as a black man with short hair and was last seen wearing a white shirt and tan shorts.
