LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police are searching for leads in separate deadly shootings in Las Vegas over the weekend.
Investigators say a woman was shot dead early Sunday morning at a Cleopatra Avenue apartment, and a man was shot and killed Saturday afternoon at an East Katie Lane apartment complex.
The woman was watching TV with another family member when they heard a knock at the front door. The victim opened the inner door and was confronted by a man who shot her through the security door before fleeing. The motive is under investigation.
In the earlier shooting, the victim was involved in an argument with a driver in the complex parking lot when the driver exited his car and fired one round at him. The victim collapsed after running a short distance to the office.
The victims' names weren't immediately released.
