OCEANSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say replica guns and body armor were found in the bedroom of a San Diego County teen arrested on suspicion of making a written threat of a shooting at an Oceanside high school.
U-T San Diego reports (http://bit.ly/1IY0nlL ) the 17-year-old was taken into custody Friday morning after a note was found threatening a teacher at El Camino High.
The boy, who is a student at nearby Ocean Shores High, previously attended El Camino.
Police Lt. George Darrah says the teen was found in possession of a journal describing killing people during a school shooting.
The suspect was not named because he's a juvenile.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
