WASHINGTON (AP) — They have gathered in Washington with this Mother's Day wish: "Stop Killing Our Children."

The Mothers for Justice United, founded by Maria Hamilton of Milwaukee, is participating in the "Million Moms March" today. Hamilton started the group after her 31-year-old son Dontre was shot and killed by Milwaukee police just over a year ago.

Mothers from across the country will make their way to the Department of Justice today to present their demands for justice and racial equality, in the names of their slain children.
