COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Tim Scott and women's basketball coach Dawn Staley are delivering commencement addresses at the University of South Carolina.
At 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Scott speaks to graduates of the South Carolina Honors College and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Scott graduated from Charleston Southern University in 1988.
At 3 p.m., Staley speaks to the College of Education, College of Engineering and Computing, College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management, the Fort Jackson Military Base Program, Interdisciplinary Programs, Palmetto College, the School of Music and College of Social Work.
Staley led the USC women's team to the 2015 Final Four. She graduated from the University of Virginia and is a member of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
