LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say they've arrested a 47-year-old renter in the shotgun slayings of a husband and wife who rented him an apartment on their property in northwest Las Vegas.
Mark Carpenter was found Friday morning at the Santa Fe hotel-casino on two murder charges hours after the discovery of the bodies of 62-year-old Gary Arthur Cravish and 56-year-old Bonny Sue Cravish.
The Clark County coroner says the Cravishes were killed with shotgun blasts to the chest.
Police say the bodies were found Thursday evening in a bedroom at the home on North Tioga Way.
A motive for the slayings wasn't immediately made public.
Carpenter was being held without bail at the Clark County jail pending an initial court appearance. It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
