84-year-old man killed after losing control of his truck

CANYON RIM, Utah (AP) — An 84-year-old is dead after he crashed his Toyota pickup truck in front of a fire station.

The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/1P3OK1E ) that police say the man crossed the median on a Canyon Rim road Wednesday afternoon. He rolled his truck before hitting the front of a nearby fire station.

Firefighters there performed first aid but the Salt Lake County man died on the scene.

A detective with the Unified Police Department says police don't know yet what caused the man to lose control of his truck.
