LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — A 30-year-old western Idaho woman has pleaded guilty to charges that she threw her 8-month-old off a porch, fracturing the baby's skull.

The Lewiston Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1zFmmMg ) that Serenity Danner might be placed in a rehabilitation program in exchange for the Wednesday plea.

A judge will decide in June whether to place Danner in the program. Her felony charge of injury to a child carries up to 10 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.

She also pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a financial transaction card and grand theft, charges that also carry prison time.

Witnesses told police that Danner was angry because she believed the baby's father cheated on her.

Police estimate the child fell about 8 feet before landing in gravel.

They say the baby is with child protective services.
