WENDOVER, Utah (AP) — Police say a 3-year-old girl was hit and killed by an SUV in Wendover.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1DR1oVV ) that Tooele County Sheriff's Office confirms that toddler Vanessa Gomez was killed on Monday night as family members were leaving a gathering.
Sheriff's deputies say a 23-year-old family member of the girl ran her over as he was pulling forward.
They say the SUV was full of passengers and traveling very slowly but the man didn't see the toddler.
Witnesses administered CPR but the girl died before crews could take her to a hospital.
Investigators don't believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident and say the driver voluntarily took a drug test.
