HOOPER, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a man was arrested in Utah following a suburban Salt Lake City crash that involved eight children.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1E0rjvD ) that a Cadillac vehicle crashed into a Ford Expedition in Hooper Saturday night with eight children inside the SUV.
An 11-year-old girl thrown from the Ford and a passenger in the Cadillac were both hospitalized.
Police said 41-year-old Dean Dominguez is accused of running a stop sign and was arrested under the suspicion of driving under the influence.
Authorities also said the driver failed a field sobriety test and open beer cans were found in the Cadillac.
The AP sought comment on the charges from Dominguez but could not verify whether he had a listed telephone number or an attorney.
