DALLAS (AP) — A 13-year-old driver and two teenage companions are hospitalized after authorities say they crashed the car they carjacked, ending a police chase that began in Dallas and extended into several other Dallas-area cities.
The driver and two others, 15 and 17, now face charges of aggravated robbery and evading police.
Authorities say the chase began about 2:45 a.m. Friday after police received a call from a driver who said his car had been taken at gunpoint.
A police helicopter monitored the fleeing teens as the stolen car headed into Garland, then to Richardson, Addison, Carrollton and back to Dallas, where police were able to get close enough to spin it out on a bridge near downtown Dallas.
Police say they've recovered a plastic gun from the car.
