BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise State's quarterback has been arrested and charged with a pair of misdemeanors.
The Idaho Press-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1GiUGcX ) sophomore quarterback Ryan Finley, 20, was arrested early Saturday on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol and resisting or obstructing officers.
Finley was the perceived leader to start for the Broncos as quarterback this fall.
According to police, Finley's arrest came after officers responded to a noise complaint call at a residence late Friday. When officers tried to contact several people in a car, one of passengers ran away and did not stop when police called him.
After a brief chase, officers found the man — who turned out to be Finley — crouched in a backyard.
Boise State said in a statement the school is aware of the situation and is "following our student-conduct policy."
