NEW YORK (AP) — Daniel Murphy drove in four runs to help the New York Mets beat Atlanta 6-3 to match a franchise record with their 11th straight victory. The streaking Mets finished 10-0 on their first homestand of the season after sweeping a trio of NL East rivals.
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Jean Segura drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out single in the seventh to help Milwaukee top Cincinnati 4-2 and end an eight-game losing streak. Closer Francisco Rodriguez pumped his right arm and yelled after recording the final out. The Brewers have a major league-worst 3-13 record.
DETROIT (AP) — Brian McCann drove in Jacoby Ellsbury with the tie-breaking run in the eighth inning to give the Yankees a 2-1 win over Detroit. Tigers' starter Anibal Sanchez gave up a run on one hit and four walks in 6 1/3 innings. Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka also allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings, giving up three hits and two walks.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — David Phelps tossed three-hit ball over seven innings and Martin Prado drove in four runs to lead Miami to a 9-1 win over Philadelphia. Just over 17,000 turned out for the game, which is the smallest crowd in the 11-year history of Citizen Bank Park. They braved chilly temperatures to see the two worst teams in the NL East.
VANCOUVER (AP) — Vancouver will go with veteran goalie Ryan Miller in tonight's must-win Game 5 of the Canucks NHL playoff series against Calgary. The 34-year-old Miller has made just one start since injuring his knee in February, but stopped all 15 shots he faced after coming on in relief of Eddie Lack in Tuesday's Game 4 loss.
