PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks placed infielder Jake Lamb on the 15-day disabled list before Tuesday's game with a left foot stress reaction.

Lamb was off to a strong start to the season, going 12 for 29 with nine RBIs in 10 games.

Arizona called up infielder Danny Dorn from Triple-A Reno and transferred catcher Gerald Laird to the 60-day disabled list after back surgery. Dorn, 30, has yet to make his major league debut.

Laird played in one game before undergoing surgery on Monday. The Diamondbacks open a two-game series against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday.
