BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) — Silas Sang led a Kenyan trio to win the Belgrade Marathon on Saturday, finishing in 2 hours, 14 minutes, 43 seconds.
Sang was followed by Andrew Kiprop, who finished in 2:16:42, and Julius Korir in 2:19:46.
The women's race was dominated by Ethiopian runners. Abebu Gelan was first in 2:33:12, Jemila Shure came second in 2:34:24 and Meseret Dekebo third in 2:43:21.
About 25,000 runners took part in the race which was held in rainy and chilly weather.
