KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) — Central Idaho authorities have identified the man found dead under his snowmobile near Pettit Lake.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office tells the Idaho Mountain Express (http://bit.ly/1Ds4JiL) that 69-year-old Geoffrey Stephan Bushell died in the snowmobile crash.

Sheriff Gene Ramsey says deputies went to a cabin on Tuesday looking for Bushell following a report he hadn't returned home.

Ramsey says the death occurred sometime between April 2 and Sunday.

He says he suspects Bushell crashed on his snowmobile after hitting a tree well, an indentation around a tree where snow hasn't accumulated.

Ramsey says there was no indication Ramsey was alive after the accident occurred.

The Ketchum-based newspaper reports that Bushell had been a real estate agent in the area since 1980.
