TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — Graduates of Vigo County public high schools in western Indiana will be able to earn a four-year degree in just three years thanks to a new partnership with Indiana State University.
The Terre Haute Tribune-Star reports (http://bit.ly/1N9NDJm ) the Early College program aims to help students earn a degree while also reducing the cost of education. Participating students have the opportunity to earn up to 30 credit hours at Indiana State University during their junior and senior year of high school.
The program will be in full swing this fall. Eligible students must be on a Core 40 or better diploma track and have a minimum 2.5 grade point average. Students must submit an application and their high school transcripts to be considered.
