Police identify body found in Colorado River

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police say the body found in the Colorado River on Saturday was 24-year-old Zachary Velasquez.

The Deseret News (http://bit.ly/1bqvpWk) reports that Velasquez was from Fruita, Colorado and his body was found in the river south of Fish Ford.

He was found dead after a search by the Grand County Sheriff's Office, Grand County Search and Rescue, Mesa County (Colorado) Sheriff's Office and others

The Grand County sheriff said Velasquez's death was not a result of foul play.
