Oliver's Tale wins Miss Lady Bug feature at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Oliver's Tale won the $60,000 Miss Lady Bug feature by 3 ½ lengths Friday in his first race since last June at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Tyler Baze, Oliver's Tale ran 6 ½ furlongs on the hillside turf course in 1:12.25 and paid $13, $7.60 and $6.20 at 5-1 odds.

Indexical returned $10.60 and $7.20. Horse Laugh rallied from last to grab third by a half-length and paid $10.40 to show at 41-1 odds, the second-longest shot in the field of 10 older horses.

The victory, worth $36,000, increased Oliver's Tale's career earnings to $133,450, with three wins in eight starts, with two coming on the track's turf course. The 6-year-old Kentucky-bred is owned, bred and trained by Mark Tsagalakis.
