ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — University of Georgia police say a student has been found dead in her dorm room.

Police said in a statement Thursday that 21-year-old Mikal Ghirmazghi was found unresponsive in Russell Hall. Authorities say the woman's cause of death is unclear and there were no obvious signs of foul play.

University of Georgia police and the Athens-Clarke County coroner are investigating the student's death.
