POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — Evan Hymes' layup with six seconds left lifted Siena over Marist 66-64 on Thursday.

Siena (10-14, 7-8 Metro Atlantic) raced out to an 11-2 lead after 5 ½ minutes as Marist missed its first five shots of the game and turned it over twice in that span. The Saints' lead reached double digits on Javion Ogunyemi's layup with 3:34 left in the half and Siena led 38-25 at intermission.

Marist used a 13-4 run to cut its deficit to five with 3:28 left, and Khallid Hart made it a two-point game with his layup with 1:09 remaining. After a Siena turnover, Manny Thomas made two free throws to tie it at 64 with 42 seconds left as Marist made up an 18-point second-half deficit.

On the next possession, Marquis Wright came up with a steal and Hymes' transition layup sealed it for Siena.

Hymes finished with nine points. Wright and Rob Poole led the Saints with 15.

Hart paced Marist (5-20, 4-11) with 30 points.
