LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a man is dead and homicide investigators are questioning possible witnesses after an overnight slaying at an apartment complex a few blocks southeast of the Las Vegas Strip.
Officer Miguel Garcia says no arrests were immediately made after officers were called about 11:30 p.m. Monday to a report of gunfire in a complex off Tamarus Street, south of Tropicana Avenue.
That's not far from McCarran International Airport and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Garcia says he can't immediately confirm a KVVU-TV Fox 5 report(backslash) (http://bit.ly/1Cea2xy ) that the victim had been shot.
